Speak Up workshop Manchester
Eight young
people braved the wet weather on Tuesday 25th
August to attend a BHF Speak Up workshop. The
venue was the 100 Club at the Manchester United Football
Club.
Speak Up is the
BHF's 1 day workshop for teenagers living with heart
conditions.
In the morning, the young people carried
out a series of fun activities and games which
increased their confidence and developed their communication
skills.
After a break for lunch, the teens
explored communicating with others about their heart condition in a
creative way. This session was led by Katrice, a
professional storyteller. Check out the masks that the young people
created during this session!
The day finished with a guided
tour of the stadium.
